Medical tourism becoming as newly rising industry

Medical tourism is turning into a high value-added industry lately. Though the fee is expensive, medical tourism is constantly creating a sustainable demand for it.
Reporter Kim, Mi Ra reports about the high-class medical tourism service targeting the foreigners in upper class.
Spend 20 million won per head, about 120~140 visit per month.
This is one of the hospitals in Gangnam that most of international medical tourists visit.
Though medical tourists spend about 20 million Korean Won per head considering shopping after the surgery. 120 ~ 140 international patients in average visit this hospital per month.

Another hospital in Gangnam recently created a customized health management programme for foreigners to attract more medical tourists.

An American actress, Suzanne Somers visited Korea to experience the health management programme, and was actually surprised with the advanced meidcal technology and skills of Korea.

The medical tourists visited Korea are about 60 thousand tourists. Compare to last 2007 that only 16 thousand tourists visited, it is obvious to see that number of medical tourists has increased.
Because of the outstanding Korean medical skills, competitive prices, and the effects of Korean wave, there is an increasing number of medical toursits.
