ADVANCED EXPERTISE IN FACIAL CONTOURING; BK RECEDING CHIN CORRECTION

ADVANCED EXPERTISE IN FACIAL CONTOURING;  BK RECEDING CHIN CORRECTION

Receding chin correction is to reshape the chin by inserting an implant
when patient's chin is receded or short like below.

As you can see the picture above, the boundary is rather undefined between neck and chin.
So her chin looks short and looks like a bird's beak so it is called bird's chin.

Receding chin correction is a fairly difficult surgical procedure to perform so you should undergo chin surgery at a reliable hospital like BK

There are a number of ways to perform the correction.
Let's have a look closely.

☆ Insert an implant ☆

It is to insert an implant literally.
BK actually uses molding and customised implants so that patients don't feel any irritation after surgery.
It ultimately provides a harmonious balance to your facial features.

As mentioned above, BK uses an implant for receding chin correction so we don't have to break any bone. Therefore, patients will be under local anesthesia instead of general anesthesia.

☆  Chin advancement repositioning(Osteotomy) ☆

It is to reposition the lower part of mandible forwards.
It is recommended not to insert an implant when someone has a problem of congenital absence
( or partial absence) of the lower jaw.
BK applies Osteotomy because muscles around the chin area could tense themselves when an implant is inserted.

Now, you would probably understand that Osteotomy is to move your chin forwards a bit so you will get well proportioned facial appearance.

So far, we've looked at two different type of chin correction.
